At Anchor Ministries, S.T.E.M. doesn't mean science—it means Simple Tent Evangelistic Ministries, and it’s how we take the Gospel beyond the walls of the church and into the heart of the community.
We set up tents in all kinds of places—from low-income neighborhoods to influential, affluent areas—because rich or poor, everyone needs Jesus. With fried fish, golden fries, hush puppies, and our legendary barbecue, we draw people in with good food and warm fellowship. Before the night is over, they’ve heard a message that can change their eternity.
We believe in meeting people where they are. Our tents create a casual, welcoming space where no one feels judged, and everyone is invited.
Simple – A tent, some tables, and real people who care.
Relational – We don’t shout—we share, we serve, and we listen.
Powerful – The Gospel is always the main course, and lives are transformed.
Our outreach starts with some of the best cooking around:
Crispy fried fish
Fresh-cut fries
Homemade hush puppies
Mouthwatering Southern-style barbecue
We’re blessed with some truly amazing cooks who prepare every meal with excellence—and with love. There’s just something special about breaking bread with strangers and watching them become family.
We’ve seen the hand of God move in powerful ways:
Over 1,600 people saved in the Cartersville area alone
Marriages restored, addictions broken, and hope reignited
People from every walk of life responding to the call of Christ
Whether it’s a struggling family in a trailer park or a business executive in a gated community—the Holy Spirit moves wherever the Gospel is preached.
A welcoming tent set up in a local park, neighborhood, or open space
Tables loaded with hot food and sweet tea
Friendly faces ready to serve, pray, and love without judgment
A time of music, testimonies, and powerful preaching
An open invitation for people to respond to Jesus
Pray. Volunteer. Give.
We’re always in need of:
Helpers for setup, food service, prayer, and clean-up
Donations for food, equipment, Bibles, and materials
Partners who want to host S.T.E.M. in their town or neighborhood
